They are looking secure a Senior/Lead Mechcanical Engineer to take ownership of development of hardware for their range of products. The company develop telecommunications and monitoring devices for harsh environments across the globe. The role involves predominantly greenfield development with very little (if any!) supervision so it''s vital that you''re able to work independently, problem solve and take complete ownership of the electronics/hardware development for the team. ROLE: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION: Cheltenham SALARY: 60,000 Essential skills for the Senior Mechanical Engineer are: 3D CAD (any package considered) for products in harsh environments Thermal and stress simulation and analysis tools (ANSYS etc) Material, joinery, sealing selections Integration with software and electronics teams Thermal and non-destructive testing Solid understanding of Project Lifecycle Manangement (PLM) Due to the idea-sharing and RandD nature of the role, you will be required on-site in Cheltenham, although flexible hours and timings are allowed.
