Carpenter Required

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and be adept at various construction tasks. This role requires a hands-on individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Cutting in roofs, dormers
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and finish products.
• Carry out painting and finishing work as required to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
• Engage in masonry work for structural support where necessary.
• Conduct heavy lifting as needed for transporting materials and equipment on-site.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure comprehensive project completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience in joinery, painting, masonry, and electrical work is highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
