Logistics OfficerLocation: BraintreeRate: £14.10 per hourContract: 6 monthsMorson are recruiting on behalf of Safran Aerosystems for a Logistics Officer to join their team in Braintree on a 6-month contract.The role will support the Stores, Goods In and Dispatch functions, ensuring materials and stock are accurately received, stored, managed and distributed in line with company procedures. You will also liaise with UK and overseas customers and freight agents to coordinate deliveries and support air and sea freight requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, count and record stock using internal systems.Pack, unpack and store materials in an organised and accessible manner.Carry out regular stock checks and physical inventory counts.Support daily Stores, Goods In and Dispatch activities.Safely move and load/unload materials using relevant equipment, including forklifts.Issue materials, parts and supplies to workshop teams against requisitions.Liaise with UK and overseas customers to arrange deliveries.Receive and process air and sea freight shipments.Provide accurate clearance instructions to freight agents.Research freight costs and obtain air and sea freight quotations.Organise dangerous goods shipments in line with IATA and IMDG requirements.Maintain accurate records and support audits and inspections.Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety requirements and company procedures.About YouPrevious experience within a logistics, stores, ..... full job details .....
