Senior / Principal Consultant – Transport Capital Projects (Programme Advisory) at PA Consulting. Hybrid working model: in the office or on client site a minimum 2 days per week, with variation by role or assignment and up to 5 days per week on client site.Join us to shape the future of transport. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are especially keen to hear from women and under-represented groups in transport and consultancy.As part of PA’s Infrastructure and Capital Projects team, we provide strategic advice on capital projects development and delivery, including business case development, commercial arrangements, financial structures, procurement advice and programme setup. We value hands-on experience with infrastructure and capital projects and a willingness to turn highly technical detail into clear concepts for diverse audiences.Responsibilities
Design, setup, governance, assurance and controls for major capital projectsDelivery of major capital projects and change programmesWork across Road, Rail or AviationQualifications / What we’re looking for
Hands-on experience of the full project and programme lifecycle with blended commercial, procurement, engineering, delivery and supply chain acumen for road, rail and aviation clientsTechnical understanding of capital projects and infrastructure delivery models, including operating models and change requirementsUnderstanding of collaborative delivery models (alliancing, partnerships) and industry-standard contracts such as NECExperience designing and implementing governance, assurance, project controls, and business change for major capital programmesAbility to distill complex insights into clear reports and presentations for stakeholders at all levelsStrong team-based collaboration skills and ability to lead small teams (2-5 people)Self-motivation, creativity, open-mindedness, and strong communication and writing skillsConsulting Skills
