The Role:

As an HLTA supporting SEN, you will take a lead role in supporting students with special educational needs to access the curriculum and reach their potential. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions, lead small group teaching, and support whole-class learning. Your experience and skills will help create an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:

  Deliver planned learning activities and interventions to individuals and small groups of students with SEN

  
  



• 
  

  Provide cover supervision and support whole-class teaching when needed

  
  



• 
  

  Support the implementation of personalised learning strategies and behaviour plans

  
  



• 
  

  Adapt resources and assistive technologies to meet student needs

  
  



• 
  

  Monitor, assess, and record student progress, sharing feedback with teaching staff and parents

  
  



• 
  

  Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and external specialists to support students'' development

  
  



• 
  

  Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence

  
  

What We''re Looking For:

• 
  

  Proven experience working with children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech/language needs)

  
  



• 
  

  HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (essential)

  
  



• 
  

  Understanding of inclusive education
