As an HLTA in an SEN setting, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex learning needs, helping to create a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver engaging lessons, support personalised learning plans, and promote both academic and emotional development.You may be required to lead whole-class sessions, cover lessons in the teacher''s absence, and deliver targeted interventions tailored to individual pupil needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver pre-planned lessons to classes or groups in the absence of the teacherSupport the planning, delivery and assessment of differentiated learning activitiesLead small group and one-to-one interventionsSupport pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD and communication needsImplement and support EHCP targets and individual behaviour plansUse positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniquesSupport pupils with emotional regulation and social developmentWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and support staffMonitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staffEnsure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all timesRequirementsTo be considered, candidates should:Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience in an SEN settingHave recent experience working with children or young people with SENBe confident supporting learning at a whole-class levelHave a patient, resili
