Maintenance Engineer
A well-established food manufacturing site is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support site operations by maintaining and improving production equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role involves a mix of mechanical and electrical maintenance, including both reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance.You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and supporting continuous improvement across the site.Hours 4 on / 4 off - Days and Nights - 6am - 6pm / 6pm-6amThe Role of a Maintenance Engineer: Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of food processing equipment including filling machines, pumps, spiral freezers, steam kettles, metal detectors, and depositorsDiagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faultsComplete repairs and modifications to machinery as requiredPerform PPM tasks and accurately report findingsRecord all maintenance activities using a CMMS (Shires)Identify and request required spare parts through the Engineering BuyerEnsure all work is completed in line with health and safety and food manufacturing standardsBuild strong working relationships with operations and area leadsComplete all required safety and technical compliance documentationLiaise with Engineering and Maintenance Managers regarding foreseeable issues and improvement opportunities Knowledge and Skills of a Maintenance Engineer :Essential: HND, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent engineering qualificationExperience withi
