Mechanical Estimator Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing Mechanical and Electrical contractor. This role would suit someone with strong mechanical building services knowledge who can review drawings and specifications, complete accurate take-offs using Bluebeam, produce estimates, and support the tender process through to submission. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic water services and drainage. You will be confident using Bluebeam for take-offs and able to communicate clearly with clients, suppliers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation. Complete accurate mechanical take-offs using Bluebeam. Prepare detailed estimates for mechanical building services packages. Price works covering HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic services, plumbing and drainage. Use estimating software to generate accurate mechanical estimates. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations. Compare supplier and subcontractor prices against the required scope. Prepare tender letters, clarifications, exclusions and supporting documentation. Communicate professionally with clients throughout the tender process. Identify risks, opportunities and value engineering options within tenders. Ensure estimates are accurate,
