Duties:

• As a Commercial PDI Technician, you will prepare new light commercial and heavy goods vehicles for customer delivery.
• Complete thorough pre-delivery inspections to ensure vehicles meet the highest quality and safety standards.
• Fit aftermarket equipment and accessories in line with customer requirements.
• Work closely with the Workshop Controller and wider team to achieve departmental targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workshop environment.
• Produce consistently high-quality work within a busy commercial vehicle operation.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Commercial PDI Technician, Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive role is advantageous.
• An IMI or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
• We will also consider semi-skilled Vehicle Technicians, improvers and candidates without formal qualifications who can demonstrate practical ability.
• A committed, dependable and motivated approach to work.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively towards targets.
• Flexibility to work early or late shifts, depending on the agreed working arrangement.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail are essential for this Commercial PDI Technician position.
• Experience preparing commercial vehicles for delivery would be beneficial, although full training will be provided where appropriate.
