Holt Engineering are currently working with a technical manufacturing company based in Edinburgh, who are on the lookout for a Logistics Operative. This is a temporary on-going contract, working Monday to Friday 8:20am-5:05pm with an early finish on Friday. As a Logistics Operative you will: Organise and maintain inventory records and carry out inventory checksManage and handle shipping, loading and unloading of productsOperating forklifts and pallet jacksDrive, vans, trucks, passenger cars handling warehouse/logistics materialsProcessing received deliveries and distribution efficientlyProcessing production orders and material requests to the factory Develop new procedures to improve processes and reduce cost Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction and financial commitments are metPerform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvementsPartner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customersManage and develop logistics teamThe key skills required for the Logistics Operative:Previous Skills working within an similar stores/logistics environmentFirm grasp of supply chain, inventory and distributionPrevious SAP knowledge an advantageConfident using windows based PC programmesExcellent attention to detailWork as part of a teamGood time keepingMust be flexibleShow InitiativeThis role is paying 12.30 - 14.50 Per Hour (Depending on Experience) Drug test screening required If your are experienced Logisti
