Transport Planner
Transport Planner (PM Shift) Immediate Start.Monday to Friday 21:00 to 05:30 (40 hours plus 30 minutes break unpaid daily).As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning and routing collection and delivery fleet, ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on time.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and route daily collection and delivery work using the in-house transport management system (TMS)Ensure all service levels are met, including timed, premium and economy deliveriesManage vehicle and driver resources in line with daily volumes, using agency support where requiredProduce pick sheets, manifests and consignment notes to support warehouse and driver teamsBalance cost, service, and legal compliance when building routesLook for opportunities to improve efficiency, such as bulk drops and direct runsWork closely with transport and warehouse teams to improve productivityCarry out other related tasks as required by managementWhat We''re Looking ForExperience using transport planning and routing software (essential)Good knowledge of the Birmingham postcode areaStrong communication skills and the ability to work calmly under pressureA proactive, organised approach with good problem-solving skillsConfident using Microsoft Outlook and Excel
