SITE MANAGER ( SUBSTATIONS / CABLE ROUTES) POSITION : Site Manager LOCATION : Yorkshire Office - further travel may be required SALARY AND BENEFITS : £55-£60K plus car or allowance , health scheme , life assurance THE ROLE : We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee site operations on major energy infrastructure projects, including high-voltage substations and cross-country cable routes. You will be responsible for the safe, compliant and productive delivery of your assigned work area, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, engineering activities, logistics and programme requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is properly planned, resourced and safely executed. Coordinate civil engineering, cable installation, electrical and commissioning interfaces. Ensure compliance with the Construction Phase Plan, RAMS, permits, temporary works and site safety procedures. Lead daily briefings, site inspections and workforce coordination. Manage short-term programmes, productivity, quality and progress reporting. Oversee civil works including foundations, drainage, roads, cable trenches, ducts, joint bays and reinstatement. Maintain accurate site diaries, inspection records, photographs, red-line drawings and handover documentation. Manage subcontractors, plant, materials and access arrangements.
