An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Immigration Solicitor to join the growing and highly regarded Immigration team of a leading national law firm in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded Immigration Lawyer to join an established practice with an impressive client base and ambitious plans for further growth.

The team advises a diverse range of corporate and private clients, from SMEs and multinational organisations to high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and families. The work is varied and technically challenging, offering exposure to complex business immigration matters and high-profile private client cases.

THE ROLE:

You will manage a varied and complex caseload, providing strategic immigration advice and delivering an exceptional level of client service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Advising on Sponsor Licence applications, compliance reviews, suspensions and revocations.

Handling Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility and other business immigration applications.

Advising on Global Talent and specialist immigration routes.

Managing settlement, British citizenship and complex private immigration applications.

Handling human rights matters, appeals, Administrative Reviews and Judicial Reviews.

Advising on civil penalties, illegal working allegations and compliance investigations.

Providing immigration support on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions.

Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

Identifying business development opportunities and contributing to the continued growth of the team.

Supporting and mentoring junior members of the department.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in UK immigration law, with particular experience in business immigration matters.

You will ideally demonstrate:

Significant experience handling a broad range of immigration matters.

Strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex cases independently.

Excellent client care and relationship-building skills.

A commercially focused approach with an interest in developing new business.

Experience in networking, business development and raising your professional profile.

The ability to support and mentor junior lawyers.

A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a growing team.
