Health and Safety ManagerLocation: North West LondonSalary Range; £50k to £55K + BenefitsAre you a NEBOSH-qualified Health and Safety professional ready to lead safety standards in a high-end food distribution environment?Do you thrive in fast-paced operations where food quality and workplace safety are top priorities?I am currently recruiting on behalf of a high-end food distribution business for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join their London-based team.This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a business known for sourcing and delivering premium food products to some of the UK’s most prestigious hotels, restaurants, and retailers. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the Health and Safety function across multiple sites, with the support of a collaborative senior leadership team.The Role:Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:Designing and implementing Health and Safety policies, procedures, and management systems across all operational locationsEnsuring full compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation and industry standardsLeading internal audits, workplace inspections, and reviewing risk assessments, SSOWs, and SOPsInvestigating incidents, conducting root cause analysis, managing RIDDOR reports, and liaising with external agencies (e.g. HSE, insurers)Supporting teams with practical guidance and delivering tailored Health and Safety training programmesAnalysing HandS performance data, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvement initiativesReporting to senior stakeholders, including contributing to risk committee meetingsYour Skills and ExperienceNEBOSH General Certificate (Essential) – applications without this qualification will not be consideredProven experience in a Health and Safety leadership role, ideally within logistics, FMCG, or food environmentsSound knowledge of UK Health and Safety law, audit processes, and accident investigation techniquesAbility to work independently while influencing at all levels of the businessStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, solutions-driven approachPlease note: Only candidates with a valid NEBOSH qualification will be considered for this role.Seniority level
