This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting young people who face barriers to mainstream education.The Setting The school supports students who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. Pupils present with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs, often linked to trauma, adverse childhood experiences, or additional learning needs.The Role As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils regulate their emotions, engage with learning, and build positive relationships. Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and pastoral leads, you will:Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils aged 11-16Implement behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques to promote a calm, safe environmentAssist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventionsHelp pupils develop self-esteem, resilience and appropriate social skillsMonitor and record behaviour and progress, feeding back to the wider teamThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience working with young people with chall
