Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Near Welshpool, Powys (SY22)
Salary: Up to -50,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Continental 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am (Days & Nights)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

A well-established and growing manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team.

Working on a continental 6-to-6 shift pattern, you''ll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime and ensuring the smooth operation of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role would suit either a fully Multi-Skilled Engineer or an electrically biased engineer with approximately a 60/40 electrical to mechanical skill set.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance and reliability.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and commissioning.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company''s maintenance system.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment availability.

• Apprentice trained or qualified in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Multi-Skilled Engineer or electrically biased with around a 60/40 electrical/mechanical background.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PLC fault finding would be advantageous.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
