Job Title: FLT Operator

Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Shift: 4 on 4 off, Days and Nights

Job Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Operator to join a well-established and successful manufacturing company based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled FLT Operator looking to join a growing business offering long-term stability, career development and a competitive salary.

The successful FLT Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, loading and unloading deliveries, and supporting daily warehouse and production operations. The company is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Previous experience operating a Forklift Truck within a warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Valid FLT licence.

• Willingness to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights.

• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.

• Experience loading and unloading vehicles.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently.

• Moving raw materials, finished goods and stock around the site.

• Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing deliveries.

• Carrying out daily forklift safety checks.

• Supporting production teams with material movements.

• Maintaining accurate stock records.

• Ensuring warehouse and storage areas remain clean, safe and organised.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

• Previous experience with stock control systems.

• Experience operating Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks.

• Good communication and organisational skills.
