The position requires flexibility to work 5 out of 7 days, including weekends and late shifts.What we want from youTo drive the consistent delivery of customer service initiatives through the departments and evaluate the success of the initiativesTo evaluate and act on Customer Service Reports, Social Media Reviews and Guest Questionnaires to achieve positive and consistent resultsTo review and act upon customer feedback relevant to your areas of responsibility to achieve positive and consistent resultsBe Business Aware:To take accountability for the total hotel operation in the absence of the General ManageTo keep yourself informed of the hotels goals and objectives, maximising the role you play in delivering the hotel budgeted profit and targetsTo ensure food and beverage sales, profit and other related targets are exceededTo benefit payroll costs by allocating labour resources in line with forecasted and actual consumer levels, and through productivity ratiosTo control departmental operating costs in line with business levels to achieve budgetTo ensure purchasing is controlled in line with forecasted business by effective use of the Purchasing SystemTo oversee and monitor Operational Departmental Managers forecasts on a weekly and three monthly basis as requiredAble to Grow the Business:To assist the General Manager in the production of the hotel Sales and Marketing PlanTo develop new opportunities to grow operational departmental sales to meet and exceed budgetTo assist with maintaining a selling culture throughout the hotelPeople Management:To co-ordinate the recruitment of new Operational Departmental Managers and Supervisors in conjunction with General Manager and HR Manager in line with the Company Recruitment PolicyTo lead the Operational Department Managers and create a team environment which promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in the hotelTo ensure effective communication with Operational Department Managers by holding regular briefing sessions and meetingsTo carry out quality training and development in a systematic and professional way in order to meet the needs of the business and assist in individual Team Members personal development To ensure training is recorded and all Team Members complete the Company Induction ProgramTo continuously coach and support the teamTo review the performance of Operational Departmental Managers every six months, following Company guidelinesTo set clear objectives for Operational Departmental Managers linked with the hotels Business PlanTo correct unacceptable behavior and performance in line with the Company disciplinary proceduresTo produce the Guest Relations Manager rosterControlling the Environment:To ensure the hotel operates effectively on a day to day basis, ensuring Company brand standards are met and delivered consistently, with attention to detailTo ensure all Fire, Health and Safety, Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Licensing Laws, Disability and all employment legislation is strictly adhered to and all Team Members are trained accordinglyTo comply with your responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order as detailed in the Fire Safety Management SystemTo evaluate and co-ordinate action on Hygiene Audits in order to enhance the environment and achieve positive consistent resultsTo undertake the role of Hotel Health and Safety OfficerWhat''s on offer:Competitive packageYou get 50% discounts on food and beverage across the MandT groupYou also benefit from Employee Discounts with MandT Hotels and Hilton Hotels worldwideMeals on dutyPension schemeTheres also an employee referral reward schemeYou get free use of our gym and leisure facilitiesThere is 28 days holiday per annumFree parkingJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:CanteenCompany eventsCompany pensionDiscounted or free foodEmployee discountFree parkingOn-site gymOn-site parkingReferral program
