We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer - nuclear for a great project running for to join a 6-12 months contract in Abingdon, Hybrid working, 3 days in the office.

About the role: Design/manage/procure Remote Handling equipment for fusion and non-fusion applications in challenging environments according to established project methodology.

Essential Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience designing complex electro-mechanical equipment/devices.
• Experience managing engineering designs and supervising design teams.
• Strong mechanical design and 3D CAD skills (CATIA V5 or equivalent).
• Experience with design substantiation, hand calculations and/or FEA.
• Ability to produce technical drawings, engineering specifications and documentation.
• Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors.
• Understanding of engineering standards, regulations and design compliance.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
