Their existence is intended to guide difficult decisions and shape behaviour.Creative – we push the boundaries of what’s possibleCollaborative – everyone is a partner; we help each other freely and willinglyInnovative – we always strive to constantly improveIntegrity – we deliver on our promisesPassion – we care about our technology, our products, our partners and each otherPurpose of Role:To lead the development, optimisation, and support of advanced manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on wafer processing, MEMS, and similar microfabrication technologies.To be accountable for both sustaining current production lines and enabling the successful industrialisation of new product introductions (NPIs), driving continuous improvementTo implement in-process measures to reduce variationTo undertake root cause analysis on manufacturing issuesTo identify and prioritise cost-saving measuresTo propose, risk-assess, implement and validate changes to existing processesReporting RelationshipsHead of NPIKey Internal RelationshipsProcess EngineersProduction Supervisors and Team LeadersPerson Specification:The Senior Process Engineer will have deep expertise in many of the following:· Manufacturing process development and optimisation· Wafer processing technologies (e.g. photolithography, dry/wet etching, wafer bonding)· MEMS fabrication processes (e.g. DRIE, surface/bulk micromachining, sacrificial layer removal)· Semiconductor manufacturing processes (e.g. PVD, CVD, sputtering, interconnect, assembly)· Cleanroom manufacturing environments· Data analysis tools and statistical process control (SPC)· Leading root cause analysis and corrective action planning (e.g. 8D, FMEA)In addition, the Senior Process Engineer will:· Work independently with minimal supervision while mentoring others· Influence decisions across departments and levels· Exhibit high levels of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving capability· Be committed to continuous learning and improvementExperience and Qualifications· Degree in an Engineering, Physics or related technical discipline· Familiarity with design and process FMEA· Knowledge of metrology tools (e.g. optical profilometry, SEM, microscopy)· Track record of using failure analysis and statistical tools to improve process capability and reduce defects· Demonstrated experience delivering robust processes for both new product introductions and established production lines· Proven industry experience in wafer-level processing, MEMS or other precision microfabrication technologies· CAD experience for process fixtures or tooling design· Software skills in Python, MATLAB or similar for data analysis and automation· Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or equivalent continuous improvement training· Background in semiconductor or optoelectronic device manufacturing· Experience in hybrid microelectronic assemblySubmit your CV and a cover letter stating how you meet the requirements of the vacancy and why you are interested.
