Ready to lead a high-impact team and shape the internal model strategy of a leading (and growing) insurance organisation?An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced professional to head the Syndicate Capital Modelling team for a major player in the (re)insurance market.What You’ll Be DoingAs the leader of the Capital Modelling team, you will:Own and drive the development of the internal capital model, ensuring it meets all relevant regulatory and internal standards.Play a key role in business planning and capital setting, including input into the Lloyd’s SBF and Group requirements.Lead model development, strategic planning, and implementation — with a focus on technical excellence and stakeholder engagement.Present at senior governance forums such as the Model Governance Committee and Risk and Solvency Committee.Act as the primary point of contact for Lloyd’s capital modelling communications.Develop and mentor a talented team of actuaries, fostering collaboration across pricing, reserving, underwriting, validation, and finance.What You’ll BringQualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent)Extensive experience in capital modelling, ideally including leadership of teams within the Lloyd’s marketA strong understanding of internal model frameworks, ORSA, and regulatory expectationsExceptional communication and stakeholder management skillsStrategic thinking combined with technical depthWhy Apply?Shape capital strategy at a group level for a globally recognised insurerHigh autonomy and visibility across the business and with Lloyd’sHybrid working model and supportive, collaborative leadership teamInclusive and forward-thinking culture that values both expertise and innovationWe believe diverse perspectives lead to better outcomes.
