Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join an established local law firm in Bury, Greater Manchester. This is an office-based, fixed-term maternity cover job position available on a full-time or part-time basis, with hours to be agreed. The Legal Cashier will join a friendly and supportive team and benefit from 25 days'' holiday plus bank holidays, a workplace pension and free on-site parking. The position offers a varied mix of legal cashiering, finance support and wider office administration during the maternity cover period. Role Responsibilities As Legal Cashier, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Finance Department while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. Your responsibilities will include: Processing client and office account receipts and payments. Carrying out daily bank reconciliations. Processing CHAPS and BACS payments and managing client-to-office transfers. Processing supplier invoices and office account payments. Assisting with billing and office account invoices. Supporting debt recovery and credit control, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up overdue payments. Maintaining accurate financial records using the firm''s legal accounts system. Supporting month-end finance processes.
