Our consultancy client are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors for secondments into Thames Water projects based out Reading with hybrid working on a permanent or freelance basis.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional looking for flexibility, with the option to work on either a freelance or permanent basis. Experience within the water sector is desirable.ResponsibilitiesCommercial management of projects delivered under NEC3/NEC4 contractsPreparation and management of cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and final accountsAdministration of NEC contract processes, including early warnings, compensation events, and change controlProcurement and management of subcontractors and supply chain partnersAccurate valuation of works and assessment of applications for paymentCommercial reporting to internal stakeholders and clientsIdentification and management of commercial risks and opportunitiesSupporting project teams to ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual and financial objectives Skills/experience/qualifications Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyoror Quantity Surveyor at a senior levelStrong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contractsBackground in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or similar sectorsWater sector experience desirable but not essentialExcellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledgeStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently while contributing e
