Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Transport Supervisor for a well-established niche sector Freight Forwarder based in the Feltham, Middlesex area. Transport Operations Supervisor is responsible for the effective day-to-day management and co ordination of the transport department''s daily workload using the company''s fleet of vehicles. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations:- Take responsibility for the effective day-to-day co-ordination and management of the company''s domestic movements across the UK. Review and process movement instructions, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and complete. Plan and organise collections and deliveries in accordance with customer requirements, agreed schedules, available capacity and operational priorities. Co-ordinate the allocation of company drivers, vehicles and external transport providers as appropriate. Ensure all movement instructions are communicated accurately and efficiently to drivers and transport providers. Monitor movements throughout the day and proactively manage potential delays, disruptions or changes. Make appropriate operational decisions within the authority of the role and escalate matters requiring management approval. Ensure completed movements are accurately recorded and all relevant documentation is obtained and processed.
