Job Title: CNC Setter Location: NorthamptonShift: Mon to Fri 7:30am - 4:15pm (37.5 hours)Salary: Up to 35,202Benefits: Free onsite parking, company pensionCompany Overview: A precision engineering and advanced manufacturing operation.The CNC Setter role:The client is willing to consider either a CNC Miller or TurnerResponsibilities:Set and operate CNC milling and CNC turning machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis where applicable)Work from detailed engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to tight tolerancesPerform in-process inspections using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, CMM)Adjust tooling, offsets, and machine parameters to ensure optimal cutting performance and part qualityMachine free-issue parts such as castings, forgings, and fabrications, ensuring proper fixturing and process controlSupport continuous improvement by identifying process optimisations and tooling improvementsMaintain clean, organised, and safe workstations in line with company and industry standardsCollaborate with the team leader, quality engineers, and production planners to meet production deadlinesPrevious Experience:Strong background in either CNC milling or CNC turningProficient in reading and interpreting technical/engineering drawingsExperience working to tight tolerances and small batch workOnline programming and ability to read G codes is desirableExperience with Fanuc controlsTo Apply:To be forwarded for an immediate interview, click the button
