This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher of Mathematics who is ready to take the next step into leadership, or an existing middle leader seeking a new challenge.The successful candidate will support the Head of Department in driving high standards of teaching and learning across the Maths faculty, ensuring strong pupil progress and outcomes in line with national expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Mathematics departmentLead on curriculum development and ensure alignment with national standards and expectationsMonitor and evaluate student progress, implementing intervention strategies where requiredModel outstanding classroom practice and support the development of colleagues within the departmentContribute to departmental improvement planning and whole-school prioritiesPromote a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to succeedThe Ideal Candidate Will:Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Have a proven track record of strong outcomes in Mathematics at secondary levelDemonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Maths educationHave experience of supporting colleagues or leading initiatives within a departmentBe committed to high expectations, inclusion, and safeguardingPossess excellent organ
