Cover Supervisor - Secondary School (Huyton)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a secondary school in Huyton to recruit experienced Cover Supervisors for a full and part-time roles.

This role is ideal for a confident and resilient professional with strong behaviour management skills and proven experience working within a secondary school environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff, maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring high standards of behaviour and engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set work
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
• Ensuring students remain on task and engaged in learning
• Following school behaviour policies and reporting incidents accurately
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
• Supporting the wider school team as required

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or working in a secondary school (essential)
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain control of the classroom
• Confident, calm and professional approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Reliable, flexible and committed to full-time work
