At SPX Radiodetection, we re seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Management Accountant to lead our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams while supporting our UK Finance Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working closely with people, and making a real impact in a global engineering business. What you ll be doing: Supporting month-end close with reconciliations, journals, and reporting. Leading and developing a small AR and AP team (4 direct reports). Managing VAT returns and liaising with HMRC to ensure compliance. Handling AR and AP queries, liaising with other departments, and ensuring smooth processes. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting. Acting as a key contact during audits. Identifying and driving process improvements across finance. What we re looking for: Experience of month-end adjustments such as accruals/prepayments and working to tight deadlines. Strong experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, with some team leadership or supervisory background. Knowledge of VAT rules and confidence in preparing VAT returns. Confident communicator who enjoys liaising across different teams. AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) though full qualification is not required. Manufa
