HGV Class 1 Linehaul Driver

Location: Leicester, LE4
Shift: Late afternoons / Nights
Pay Rate:18.25 per hour + overtime + travel allowance
Job Type: Full-time, ongoing

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Linehaul Drivers to join a busy and well-established operation based in Leicester (LE4).

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for regular, ongoing work with competitive pay rates and overtime available.

The role will involve trunking/linehaul work between sites, with a focus on safe, efficient and reliable deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 1 HGV on planned linehaul/trunking routes
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
• Completing required delivery paperwork and electronic records
• Complying with drivers'' hours, working time and road safety regulations
• Maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience is a bonus
• A reliable and professional approach to work
• Good knowledge of drivers'' hours and tachograph regulations
