Senior Vice President | HFT / Prop / Systematic Trading Technology | A leading MM firm are seeking a Senior System Engineer to manage and optimize our IT environment while supporting end-users and guiding a small team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining hardware, software, servers, and networks, while driving automation and adopting new technologies. Location: London Area, United Kingdom.What You’ll Do

Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users.Manage user accounts, network equipment, and servers.Oversee hardware and software lifecycle: procurement, setup, upgrades, and maintenance.Liaise with vendors to ensure smooth delivery of services and support.Automate workflows through scripting (Bash/Python).Contribute to IT infrastructure design for new business initiatives and technology adoption.Lead a small team (2–5 members) and mentor junior staff.What You Bring

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.8–10 years of relevant experience in system administration or engineering.Hands-on experience with Linux installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.Passion for learning and implementing new technologies.Experience with cloud computing is a plus.Scripting experience in Bash or Python is an advantage.Seniority level
