Teaching Assistant in Derby
-90 to -120 per day, depending on experience | Term time only

A welcoming school in Derby is looking for a teaching assistant to join its supportive team. This role is recruited through Empowering Learning.

The role

• Support pupils in class, working with individuals, small groups and whole classes
• Help pupils stay engaged, confident and ready to learn
• Support children with additional needs, including SEN, alongside the class teacher
• Help prepare resources and keep the classroom organised and positive
• Encourage good behaviour in line with school policy

About you

• A recognised teaching assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3), or proven experience as a TA in a UK school
• A calm, patient and reliable approach
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• A good team player who takes direction well
• Right to work in the UK
• An up-to-date enhanced DBS on the Update Service is ideal, but not essential
