CNC Programmer (Turning) Pay: 40 - 45 Umbrella Location: Thatcham, Berkshire Sector: Formula 1 Motorsport Contract: 3-6 Months Pattern: Full Time Onsite The Role We''re looking for an experienced CNC Programmer in Turning to join a world-class Production Engineering team. Our client is the world''s leading designer and manufacturer of specialist transmissions for Formula One, Le Mans, IndyCar, NASCAR, and the world''s most prestigious high-performance automotive brands. You''ll be responsible for developing CNC programs, optimising machining processes, and supporting the manufacture of complex, high-precision components used in cutting-edge engineering applications. What You''ll Be Doing:Produce CNC Turning programs using EdgeCAMRun machine simulations using VericutDevelop manufacturing methods and machining strategiesSelect cutting tools and identify tooling requirementsDesign and support work-holding fixturesReview engineering drawings and provide manufacturing feedbackSupport Production Engineering and Design teamsAttend design reviews and liaise with Production ControlDrive continuous improvement across machining processesMaintain Health and Safety and Quality standardsWhat We''re Looking For:Mechanical/Engineering backgroundEngineering ApprenticeshipCNC Turning programming experienceEdgeCAM experienceOkuma controlsStrong understanding of speeds and feedsWord address programmingExperience with small batch, precision machiningAbility to design work-holding ..... full job details .....
