Your new roleOur client are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to support the design, operation and improvement of our cloud-based data platforms. You will work within a team of technical specialists, contributing to platform reliability, capacity, configuration management and continuous improvement.Key responsibilities: Support the development and maintenance of the organisation''s data platform.Manage platform stability, availability and incident resolution.Perform root cause analysis and contribute to ongoing service improvements.Participate in out of hours support where required.Assist with proactive monitoring, capacity management and escalations.Collaborate with technical teams and third-party providers.Contribute to project delivery and platform enhancements. What you''ll need to succeed Experience in similar technical engineering or platform roles.Strong background in incident, request, change and problem management.Experience with cloud technologies, including Azure.Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is essential.Experience managing SQL Server.Comfortable working with both legacy and modern technologies.Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.Experience with GitHub, Git Actions and Terraform are desirable.
