Duties as a Music Teacher:

• Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging, inspiring lessons
• Prepare students for examinations and performance opportunities where appropriate
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities
• Contribute to the wider Performing Arts provision
• Potentially undertake departmental leadership responsibilities for the right candidate

Ideal Music Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and practical musicianship
• Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Experience in curriculum leadership is desirable for candidates interested in the Head of Department opportunity
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
