Science Teacher / Chester / Immediate Start / Fixed-Term Contract Are you an experienced Science Teacher looking for a part-time role with an immediate start? Academics are currently supporting a welcoming secondary school near the Chester area, who are looking to appoint a Science Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a short-term contract running until July 2026. This role is a part-time position for 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday). The school have suggested there may be slight flexibility on days for the right candidate. The Role: Teach across the 3 Sciences (primarily KS3)Maintain strong classroom management in line with usual cover expectationsCreate a positive learning environmentPlan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessonsTake on full planning, marking, and assessment responsibilitiesMonitor student progress and provide effective feedback and support Applicant Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science or a related subjectExperience teaching Science at KS3 levelStrong classroom management skillsAbility to commit to a part-time timetable through to July 2026Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Why Join Academics?
