Registered Manager – Children’s Home

Location: Hartlepool
Salary: £55,000 - £57,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, to lead a brand-new children’s residential home in Hartlepool.

The home will support children and young people aged 10–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity to shape a new service from the outset, build your own team and create a positive, child-centred environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the home, including:

• Supporting the Ofsted registration and inspection process
• Recruiting, managing and developing the staff team
• Ensuring high standards of safeguarding and care
• Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
• Managing budgets and operational resources
• Building relationships with local authorities, families and professionals
• Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Minimum 2 years’ residential childcare experience
• Experience at senior or management level
• Level 5 Management qualification or willingness to work towards it
• Good knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and SCCIF
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people
