Assistant Operations Manager
Randstad C&P are seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on Assistant Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for one of our trusted clients. While based in Bath, this role offers excellent development opportunities, including occasional travel to sister sites for joint training and collaborative projects.
No formal qualifications are required, our client values a strong background in operations or customer-facing environments, direct staff management experience, and a genuine team player. Package
- Competitive base salary of -34,000 per annum

Duties
- Direct and line-manage an in-house team of 9 tradespeople and 2 cleaners, taking responsibility for daily task delegation, team performance, and rota coverage.
- Maintain strong, clear communication with residents on a daily, face-to-face basis to support their customer journey and resolve day-to-day enquiries promptly.
- Oversee general site health, safety, and compliance, conducting regular safety checks and upholding key H&S standards across the property.
- Manage in-house, day-to-day minor maintenance and repair tasks while coordinating with third-party subcontractors for larger specialist works.
- Complete essential administrative duties, maintaining accurate tracking sheets, operational reporting, and compliance records.
- Support emergency response procedures and participate in the Duty Manager rota, maintaining operational continuity across the site.
Requirements
- Experience in operations, customer service, or property management with direct experience managing or supervising staff.
- Outstanding face-to-face communication skills and a confident, approachable manner when dealing with residents.
- A proactive, health-and-safety-conscious mindset with a strong attention to operational compliance and record-keeping.
- Practical capability and experience over formal qualifications: reliability, leadership, and drive are what count.
