Job purpose The main purpose of this job is to conduct high-quality research in support of the Faculty of Business and Creative Industries and USW Research Strategy 2030. It will involve undertaking and where appropriate leading research projects; conducting high-quality independent research leading to REF-quality outputs; developing research and innovation impact and where appropriate conducting public engagement events; submitting external funding applications; providing support in developing the faculty''s performance and interactive and immersive technologies agenda. You will need to work closely with the RandI staff within the faculty and the broader subject area teams, as well as colleagues across Research and Innovation Services and the broader professional services. Key responsibilities 1. To undertake and where appropriate lead research activities and projects, including the development of personal, group or collaborative objectives. 2. To develop own or collaborative research projects leading to REF-quality research contributions, disseminating research findings through appropriate media and with a view to generating research impact. 3. To remain abreast of new initiatives, strategic interventions and research which contributes to the subject area. 4. To be involved in FBCI research public dissemination programme, including supporting events and communications strategy (including websites). 5.
