CNC Turner
-16.00 per hour -32,448 + overtime at 1.5, BS16, 33 days hols, 39 hours per week M-F, Flexible start & finish times, Pension, Parking.

Due to retirement this friendly and established sub contract workshop have an opportunity to join their team as a cnc turner however a manual turner could also be of interest. The role is reporting to the machining supervisor.

The cnc turner or manual turner will involve

-Running an XYZ Turning machine with Proturn controls
-Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
-Manage your own workload with jobs allocated from the machining supervisor
-Machining precision engineering parts producing small batches and one off''s to fine tolerances but not normally aerospace.
-manual turning would be useful but not essential

Skills required for the cnc turner or manual turner
-Successful candidate is likely to have experience and producing machined parts from engineering drawings.
-If candidates manual turning skills are strong the role could focus on this rather than cnc turning
-The successful candidate is likely to have served an engineering apprenticeship as a skilled machinist, however candidates who are time served in machining could also be suitable if they can demonstrate a suitable track record in either cnc turning or manual machining.
