Carpenter / Multi Trader

Salary: Up to £40,660 depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Our client is looking for a skilled Carpenter / Multi Trader to join their team, covering residential properties across Thamesmead and the surrounding areas.

The role will focus primarily on carpentry, alongside a range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance to ensure properties are kept to a high standard.

• Carry out a full range of carpentry works, including kitchen units, internal and external doors and boxing in.

• Complete 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.

• Carry out basic plumbing.

• Complete wall and floor tiling.

• Carry out patch plastering and making good.

• Complete painting and decorating.

• Record work accurately using a mobile app.

• Complete risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures.

• Work within occupied residential properties and provide a professional service to residents.

• Support wider repairs and maintenance works as required.

• Participate in out-of-hours or emergency callout rotas when required.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds in Carpentry or equivalent.

• Previous experience working as a Carpenter / Multi Trader.

• Experience across multiple trades including carpentry, tiling, plastering and decorating.

• Fire door installation experience is preferred but not essential.

• Experience within social housing repairs and maintenance is desirable.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Own, well-maintained tools.

• Good understanding of health and safety.

• Reliable, adaptable and takes pride in their work.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Salary up to £40,660 depending on experience.
