Leading Planned Learning

* A Higher Level Teaching Assistant will lead teacher-planned lessons or group activities where authorised

* The Higher Level Teaching Assistant may provide whole-class PPA cover, maintaining clear school routines

* As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will run targeted literacy and numeracy interventions

* An effective Higher Level Teaching Assistant can monitor understanding and share assessment feedback with permanent teachers

* Use positive behaviour strategies and follow safeguarding and school procedures.

* HLTA status, previous higher-level classroom support, or substantial experience leading learning and providing appropriate class cover for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role.
