This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong local government finance professional to join a busy finance team and support key treasury, capital accounting and year-end activities.Working remotely, as the Technical Accountant you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of treasury management activities, capital accounting, fixed asset management and statutory financial reporting.Technical Accountant (Capital and Treasury) Key ResponsibilitiesLead on treasury management activities, including cashflow forecasting, borrowing and investment management.Prepare treasury management reports and Prudential Indicators.Support the production of statutory accounts and year-end closedown processes.Maintain and develop fixed asset and grant registers.Assist with capital programme monitoring and reporting.Prepare and submit financial and statistical returns to central government.Deliver variance analysis and technical accounting support to senior finance colleagues.Liaise with treasury advisors, auditors, brokers and banking partners as required.Contribute to budget setting and medium-term financial planning processes.Technical Accountant ..... full job details .....
