The Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of mechanical components and systems, contributing across the full product lifecycle from concept through to validation and release. You ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, right-first-time engineering solutions across a variety of technically demanding projects. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies across motorsport and advanced automotive programmes Support engineering activities from clean sheet concept through to end-of-life Produce detailed designs for complex, highly loaded components Apply engineering fundamentals and hand calculations to support design decisions Ensure designs consider: Material selection Manufacturability and assembly Heat treatment and surface finish requirements GDandT and control of critical features Work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers Support testing activities: Writing test requests Reviewing results Producing technical reports Assist with failure investigation and problem-solving activities Contribute to continuous improvement ..... full job details .....
