The Role of a QC: Maintain shelf life and condition test documentation when required Calibrate QA equipment in rotation with other QA. Inform your Line Manager if any sundries are required. Carry out documented in-load checks to the recommended level against customer specifications. Label and date pallets according to the outcome. Carry out documented out-load checks to the recommended level (every pallet checked the number of cases per pallet is dependent on product) against customer specifications. Label pallets according to the outcome. Carry out documented stock checks to the recommended level (every pallet checked - the number of cases per pallet is dependent on product) against customer specifications. Label pallets according to the outcome, and inform your Line Manager (TD) Travel as necessary to other cold storage sites to in-load, prepare samples or out-load product. Packhouse liaison as required. Follow up on depot rejections. Check labels when required against "customer label forms and specs" and complete sign off. Clean up as you go regarding pallet straps and corner boards removed during inspection. Prepare samples to required standard as requested. Clean QA room as required.
