Occupational Therapist-Adults

Purpose of job The Post holder will be an integral part of the Occupational Therapy and Sensory Services. Delivering high quality services to support adults using a person centred approach. They will focus on well-being, prevention, choice and control for individuals, maximising their independence / potential. The Occupational Therapist will meet with Service Users, carers, families, multi-disciplinary agencies and organisations (in a variety of locations as required) in order to enhance the independence, safety and quality of life of the Service User and their carer (s) through rehabilitative planning, specification of equipment and structural changes to the environment; producing individual care and support plans, strategies, monitoring and case management, this will include coordinating assessments and reports, including presentations to relevant multi-agency panels. They will ensure that all work complies with Council policies / procedures and that statutory obligation are met. Occupational Therapists are required to adhere to the College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and Health and Care Professions Council Standards of Proficiency within their role.
