Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and creative English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Berkhamstead this September. This is an exciting temp-to-perm role with the opportunity to make a lasting impact in a vibrant school community.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver inspiring English Language & Literature lessons that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
• Support students in developing strong communication, analysis, and academic skills.
• Use creative approaches and modern technology to bring lessons to life.
• Monitor progress through purposeful assessment and constructive feedback.
• Build an inclusive classroom where every learner feels supported and motivated.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and contribute to wider school life.

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified teacher (QTS) with a degree in English, Education, or related subject.
• Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or strong unqualified educators with relevant experience.
• A confident communicator who builds positive relationships across the school.
• Skilled at managing classrooms effectively and tailoring lessons to diverse learners.
• Knowledge of GCSE and/or A-Level English curriculum.
