The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.The successful candidate will have circa. 5 years of experience gained in a mixture of private practice and in-house, with experience of corporate law, preferably in the infrastructure sector. A proven track record of advising on legal matters across a range of jurisdictions is a distinct advantage. You will need to have excellent drafting, cooperation, communication and negotiation skills. You will be a person who can manage their own workload and is self-reliant but is equipped with excellent teamworking and interpersonal skills as you will be advising key stakeholders on significant projects that shape the communities in which we live.This is a hybrid role working 3 days per week in the Croydon officeJob DescriptionResponsibilities

Handle corporate transactions (including JV set up, acquisitions, share sale, asset sale) and drafting transactional documents (including SPA, Transition Services Agreement, Continuing Services Agreement, SHA and Asset Transfer Agreement) and assist with the post MandA integration alongside the finance and strategy teams. Standardisation of amendments to industry standard forms (e.g. NEC, JCT and FIDIC) and standard forms of major clients in the energy and infra sector (e.g. SSE, EBRD, IFC, Network Rail, UK Power Networks)Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including consultancy agreements, framework agreements and NDAs. Review and identify departures from governance as part of the review of commercial agreements and assist project teams in obtaining the necessary internal approvals where appropriate.Confidently advise the business on applicable laws, jurisdictions and regulations.Revise and maintain legal templates for use across the Group ensuring they reflect current legislation and best practice.Draft and update legal guidance to raise awareness of recurrent topics and new regulations.Instruct and manage external law firms, recognising that external advice is sought only when absolutely necessaryCandidate Specification
