My client are a Tier one civil engineering and infrastructure specialists in the UK, with over 40 years of experience in providing design, civil engineering and maintenance services working across multiple sectors, including:

andbull; Transport
andbull; Built environment
andbull; Energy

Key Responsibilities
Lead Estimates
andbull; Undertake estimates in accordance with Company procedures.
andbull; Lead team of estimators for larger tenders, mentoring and developing junior estimators
andbull; Identify opportunities and risks during the tender process.
andbull; Maintain tender estimate file.
andbull; Provide indicative pricing support for business development.

Present estimates at adjudication
andbull; Prepare an estimating _adjudication pack.andrdquo;
andbull; Maintain notes of adjudication meetings

Handover to site teams at contract award
andbull; Prepare estimating handover packs.
andbull; Maintain notes of the handover meeting
andbull; Provide ongoing support to site teams relating to the estimate and key assumptions.

Key Measures and Targets
andbull; Winning work to meet the Companyandrsquo;s objectives.
andbull; Developing a coherent and consistent tender submission with the use of key estimating assumptions
andbull; Developing a tender win strategy alongside the business unit teams
andbull; Supporting temporary works for tenders and for the design element of design and construct tenders

What you will bring:
andbull; Engineering background
andbull; HNC or equivalent in a related Engineering qualification
andbull; Experience in water and civils
andbull; Proven track record working on tenders ranging up to andpound;50m
andbull; Numerate and IT literate, familiar with estimating software and Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
andbull; Chartered, incorporated status or similar
andbull; Knowledge of wastewater, rail, or the tunnelling sector andndash; Desirable
