As our new Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across City and Guilds programmes up to Level 3 and T Level Building Services, as well as professional courses including Wiring Regulations and Inspection and Testing. You will help learners build the technical knowledge, practical skills and safe working habits they need to progress into skilled employment and apprenticeships.

What You''ll Be Doing

Here is a flavour of what you will be getting involved in:
- Inspiring teaching:Deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality sessions across all electrical installation programmes up to Level 3 City and Guilds and T Level Building Services, as well as professional courses such as 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Inspection and Testing.
- Learner success:Track and monitor learner progress, implement timely interventions and support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress confidently into employment or apprenticeships.
- Curriculum development:Contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of the Electrical Installation curriculum, helping to keep provision current, compliant and industry relevant.
- Assessment and quality:Assess learner work to City and Guilds assessment criteria, provide constructive feedback and participate in internal quality assurance, standardisation and CPD activities.
- Industry standards:Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical regulations (including BS 7671), industry standards and emerging technologies, and work with employers and partners to strengthen learner experience.
- Pastoral support:Support learners academically and personally, promoting safe working practices, professionalism and the employability skills they will need in the workplace.

We are looking for a qualified electrical professional with the expertise and enthusiasm to bring the trade to life in the classroom and workshop.
Essential
- A Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (City and Guilds or equivalent)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, DET or equivalent)
- Recent and relevant industry experience as a qualified electrician
- Experience delivering Electrical Installation programmes up to Level 3 City and Guilds
- Experience supporting learners with varied needs and abilities
- Experience developing teaching resources and curriculum materialsExperience using digital learning platforms and educational technology
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation theory, inspection, testing and safe systems of work
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry standards, including BS 7671
- English and Maths at Level 2 or above
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding
Even Better If You Have...
- NVQ Electrical Installation Level 3, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Inspection and Testing qualifications
- An assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1)
- An Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification
- Experience contributing to quality assurance processes
- Experience working with employers or industry partners
- Experience delivering Functional Skills or English and Maths support alongside vocational delivery
