We are recruiting for an experienced Environmental and Compliance Manager to join a well-established business operating within the waste management, recycling and resource recovery sector. This is a newly created role, responsible for environmental compliance and waste compliance across several local operations. With increasing regulation and a number of future development projects planned, you''ll play a key role in ensuring the business remains compliant while supporting its continued growth. Compliance and Environmental Manager - The Role Reporting directly to a Director and working closely with operational management and a wider group environmental function, you''ll take hands-on responsibility for environmental compliance, including: Managing environmental permits, exemptions, variations and associated regulatory requirements. Ensuring compliance with relevant waste and environmental legislation, including evolving requirements such as digital waste tracking. Maintaining oversight of waste classifications, codes, documentation, movements and downstream outlets. Liaising directly with the Environment Agency and other relevant regulatory bodies.
